The modern dry cargo ship, constructed by the Balkan Shipbuilding and Repair Yard at the request of the Agency of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan, arrived at the Baku International Sea Trade Port.

BAKU, May 12, 2026. — A solemn welcoming ceremony for the first dry cargo ship "Gadamly," built entirely in Turkmenistan, was held at the Baku International Sea Trade Port. Speaking at the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Gurbanmammet Elyasov, announced that the vessel will operate regular voyages in the Caspian region, specifically towards Azerbaijan. The diplomat described the arrival of the new ship at the Port of Baku as a significant indicator of the growing transport and logistics cooperation between the two countries.
