One of the largest ships in Azerbaijan will be involved in the transportation of Turkmen oil

The head of the press service of “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” CJSC Mehman Mehdiyev said that the overhaul of the «Hero Khalilbeyli» tanker was successfully completed at the “Zykh” ship repair and construction yard, Caliber.Az reports.

It is reported that the ship will be used to transport oil from Turkmenistan. The tanker will make its first voyage in the near future to the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.

“During the repair, the underwater and surface parts of the tanker were cleaned and painted, as well as mechanisms in the engine room, the main engine, boiler rooms, and auxiliary engines were replaced. In addition, hull welding and electrical installation work was carried out, and the crew cabins were repaired. More advanced modern communication and navigation systems have been installed,” the message says.

Azerbaijani and Turkmen ships transport oil from Turkmenistan for its further export to Georgia and other countries of the Black Sea region.
